What owners report
ProductReview.com.au listed 20 reviews for this model when checked, with a 2.2 average and 70 percent marked negative. Early owners of rectangular in-ground pools say floor cleaning and waterline climbs can work when the unit is new. Later reviews describe dials that jam, replacements that fail after 10 to 13 months, batteries that will not hold a charge, wheelies, and claims refused once the original two-year clock ends. One NSW owner sent a unit back four times, then was refused help days after warranty expiry and said they were lodging a Fair Trading claim.
On a Whirlpool thread comparing the Scuba S1, Seagull Pro, and Zodiac FX18, one Australian owner of the Seagull Pro said it gets stuck and does odd things, and called it more hassle than it is worth. The rest of that thread is mostly Scuba S1 reports.
A longer Whirlpool thread started for the Seagull Pro Lite also has Seagull Pro owners. One returned a unit that missed leaves, did wheelies, and left silt, then received a full refund. Another with a fully tiled pool said it would not climb the walls and got stuck in the deep end; Aiper offered new brushes and a $30 credit. Others reported red flashing lights, replacements that failed again, and 180-micron baskets that let fine dirt through.

Warranty claims for official and authorised-channel purchases go through Aiper's Australian form with proof of purchase. The form says purchases from unauthorised channels should be taken to the seller. The authorised list on that form includes Aiper's official store, Amazon, eBay, Clark Rubber, Swimart, Pool & Spa Warehouse, Costco, Bunnings Warehouse, JB Hi-Fi, Pool Living, Harvey Norman, and Other.
