Best cordless robotic pool cleaner

By . Published . Last reviewed . See how we review.

This page lists cordless robotic pool cleaners sold in Australia. The table is generated from products with type cordless. It shows sourced battery minutes, maximum pool length, recharge method, and Australian warranty years. Unverified fields read Not verified. Order is current models first, then longer verified floor-cleaning runtime. Whether a merchant pays this site does not change the order.

Every row is a research comparison until a tester report exists for that model. The site owner has no pool. Model names link to a research review when that review is published. Dated prices for a shorter list of picks are on the robotic pool cleaner hub. See how we review.

Cordless versus corded

A cordless robotic cleaner has no trailing power cable. It runs from an on-board battery and then charges according to the recharge method on its Australian product page: a dock, a plug-in adapter, an outdoor charger, inductive charging, or solar plus DC when those labels are published. This page is for pools that have no power point next to the water. A corded robot cannot run there unless a cable is taken across the paving.

The main trade-off is how long the unit can work in one session. Corded robots in this dataset store a cable length when an Australian page publishes one. They do not store battery minutes. Cordless robots store battery minutes only from a labelled floor-cleaning runtime. Surface-only hours are not that field. A number in the table is a sourced ceiling for one charge, not a promise that the robot will finish the pool. A larger pool, a full filter, or a wall-climbing route can use the charge sooner. When the Australian page states a maximum pool length in metres, the table shows it with the source. When the page states pool area only, maximum pool length stays Not verified. Area is not converted into length, and pounds are not converted into kilograms.

Recharge method is the other cordless-specific field. The labels in the table are copied from the cited Australian pages. A corded robot has no recharge step during a cycle. It needs a power point and a cable that can reach the far end without catching on steps, ladders, or corners. That cable can tangle on the surface. Cordless units avoid the trailing lead. The cordless cost is retrieval, emptying the filter, and charging. A dock still needs a place at the waterline and often an outlet for the dock itself. Cordless does not always mean no electricity at the pool. A plug-in adapter means carrying a wet unit to the charger.

Australian warranty years appear when an Australian warranty page or product page names the model. Cordless and corded SKUs from the same brand can differ. Unverified warranty stays Not verified. This table is not a price ranking. Dated observations, when they appear on the hub or on a review, name a merchant and a check date.

The table is generated from every product typed cordless, including discontinued store listings. Surface skimmers are a separate type and are omitted even when they use a battery. Corded robots remain the option when a long uninterrupted cycle matters and a sourced cable length covers the pool. Cordless robots remain the option when a cable would be a hazard or there is no outlet by the water. Read the sourced specs, then a model review if one is published. The site owner has no pool. This is a research comparison, not a first-hand trial.
